Stop calling sociopaths weird.
High school students get called weird. Teenagers feel weird. Now they're on par with narcissists and white supremacists?
Austin, TX, wants to stay weird. Does that mean they embrace Donald Trump?
I'm weird. I love being weird. I used to have “professional weirdo” in my bio text. Weird is a non-threatening word. If you tell me someone is weird, that will probably attract me to them. Weird is different and cool.
People are telling me that the word weird is humiliating to the right. Now, it's going to be humiliating for anyone who is associated with it.
STOP USING IT THIS WAY.
Is our goal as Democrats to humiliate Republicans? Because I have a problem with that, too. I thought our goal was to convince voters that we had the best candidate. Do we need to humiliate people to do that?
Humiliating people is part of what’s wrong with this country. This is part of the left being smug and elitist. Especially since they’re pretending weird means something it doesn’t. We can win arguments with our intelligence. We don’t have to call people names. We can just describe their behavior, and that will be pretty heavy-hitting.
Everything about this particular messaging is kind of mind-boggling. I feel like we're really letting people off the hook by calling them weird. It's fucking weird that we're doing that. In fact, Jacobin did a great article saying something similar.
“Democrats … ought to turn away from attacking Republican leaders on the basis of their “weirdness” and instead attack them on the responsibility the GOP has in ushering in a society of extreme inequality and social instability. If they want to win back working people, saying that Republicans are weird just won’t do.
Instead, they must persuade voters that Republicans are wrong.”
There are plenty of other words to describe them that actually accentuate how bad they really are. (Insurrectionists, liars, hypocrites, racists, etc.) It’s not “going low” to use accurate words to describe things.
But what do I know? I'm just trying to ascertain if Kamala will be able to get the Muslim vote, the lack of which could sink her campaign. But everyone else wants to fuck up the meaning of weird.
I hope they will move on from this campaign tactic so I can stop cringing over it.

I still have my own last rounds of edits to go through, the interior formatting, plus finishing the interior illustrations. So many details! But I can see the finish line.
