I’m 1/3 of the way to my personal fundraising goal in the Bridge to Rutland Arts Marathon. I’m so grateful to all who have donated and hope to keep up the momentum to reach my goal. The most common donation has been $50, which goes a long way to help Bridge to Rutland’s mission to help asylum seekers. But even $12 or $25 helps us get there.
Please watch my intro video below (if you haven’t already) and donate here!
I’m excited to make videos throughout the month of April and sharing them with you!
📑 Project Updates
Troy Property
I now have a plane ticket to go to Troy in May to see my little empty field. Next month, I’ll be engaging a surveyor and will hopefully have those results by the time I get there. I decided, for the first time in a long time, not to use AirBNB. They are on the boycott list because they bowed to pressure from Israel and re-listed properties that belong to illegal settlers in the West Bank. Thanks to my Hilton AMEX, I am staying for free in downtown Albany. Unfortunately, there’s only one Hilton property near downtown Troy, and it’s not in a very convenient place. The bus to Troy goes right by the hotel I booked in Albany. Plus, the location is easily accessible for my sisters to come visit me (which I hope they do).
Cross Stitch
I started a small, fun cross-stitch project. It shouldn’t take long, and I don’t want to give away what it is, so you’ll have to wait until next week.
I now have three pouches so I can have three projects going at once. The yellow/orange pouch is for the Arts Marathon project. The colorful one is the Russian design. I’m going to start the Russian design just to have it started so if I ever want to pick it up, I can easily work on it.
Hugs
Next weekend is the annual Studio Tour in my neighborhood. If you’re in the St. Pete area, please come out on Saturday between 10 am - 12 pm or Sunday 1-3 pm for art and hugs! Those are the times I’ll be at 538 28th Street North giving FREE HUGS!
